Starting with an earthenware clay slip, each ceiling light is produced by a skilled ceramic artisan who mixes, slip casts and bisque fires the fixture. It is the firing process that gives our ceiling lighting its naturally lovely bisque finish. Painting is also an option with acrylics or basic latex paints.

Each ceiling light in this category is an American-made fixture, created by the hands of a ceramic artisan from white earthenware clay. The FABBY process has been meticulously refined and produces only the highest quality ceramic light fixtures. Our clay is mixed with water and other compounds to form a slip, which is then hand poured into a cast to achieve the initial form. The beginnings of ceiling light fixtures are then dried for a period of twenty-four hours and subsequently bisque fired for four hours at an optimal temperature. This final firing process is what gives each of our ceramic ceiling lamps their trademark color, a naturally elegant off-white.

Interior designers and do-it-yourselfers often prefer the organic appeal of the milky white bisque finish, but for design aesthetics that require a bit more color our ceramic ceiling lamps are paintable. Using a basic latex or acrylic paint, easily morph your ceiling light into the brilliant hue of your choice.
