When choosing bathroom wall lighting two things are central to most designers and their clients: a pleasing aesthetic and more importantly, an appropriate brightness and light stream. Ceramic bathroom lighting accomplishes both of these requirements in one beautifully constructed piece of clay artwork. Each bathroom lighting fixture by FABBY is handmade in the U.S.A. Beginning with white earthenware clay our masterful ceramic artisans create a slip matter using a perfected mixture of water, clay and other compounds. Once the amalgam is ready it is hand poured into plaster slip casts, so moisture is pulled out of each bathroom wall light from the outside in. When a wall of the appropriate thickness has formed around the edges, the remaining slip matter is removed from the cast and the remaining form for the bathroom wall lighting is dried for a period of at least 24 hours. The final step is responsible for the trademark off-white color of FABBY bathroom lighting: this is the kiln firing. We use an optimally heated, four hour bisque fire to bring each fixture to its finished form and crisp milky color.
