When Scottish artist, Ian Arthur, moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s, he had a personal vision: to make his art his livelihood. His forte was creating interesting ceramic vases and giftware, which he sold on the Boardwalk at Venice Beach and in local boutiques. Then a friend asked Ian to design lighting fixtures for her new home. And Ian's vision lit up.

Ian drew inspiration from contemporary design, architectural details and American folk art. He became so busy crafting lights for homeowners and Interior designers, that he soon needed a studio, storefront and a "real" business. Seventeen years later, Fabby thrives in the La Brea fashion district of Los Angeles with no end in sight to its fabulous designs.
